Profile:

The University of Applied Sciences HTW Chur was founded in 1963, as an institute of technology. It was converted to its current form, as a University of Applied Sciences, in the year 2000. 1,400 students are currently studying there in five Bachelor study courses and several master programmes. The seven institutes at the university are actively involved in applied research and development to guarantee the knowledge and technology transfer to the Swiss economy. The bachelor study course of Tourism is the first international study course at a University of Applied Sciences in Switzerland that is specifically designed to meet the needs of the tourism industry. The study course, held in German and English, imparts all the necessary knowledge and expertise about tourism, leisure and the service industry. This knowledge is further extended through a variety of projects and group work.
